Happy Birthday Leo

The most amazing year of our lives. We cannot believe how fast time has flown but we have more fun with each passing day. Watching your personality develop and hanging out with you every day is the best job a girl could ask for.

You are:
adorable
loving
serious
curious
impatient
an animal lover
stubborn
a snuggler
a pacifier hunter
a car ride hater
fashionable
a water splasher
a crybaby
a wonderful night sleeper
a climber
a dancer
an early crawler
preppy with a mohawk
a face maker
attached to your blankie
a kisser
silly
whiney
a cat tail puller
a great eater
wonderful company
cautious
thoughtful
talkative at home
quiet in public
always happy when held
a ham
our baby and the love of our lives!

The Family

Leo was exhausted at the end of his party but we wanted to get a family picture in before it was over. We love you Leo and it has been the most wonderful year!

Party Pictures - Part 2 (Cake)

He was a little apprehensive at first about the cake but then dug in. His new favorite food!

Leo's 1st Birthday Party

Although he has not turned one quite yet, we celebrated with some family and friends this past weekend. Leo had a blast. He especially loved his new ride.

Leo's Photo shoot Preview

We had a wonderful photographer come yesterday to take some pictures of Leo. He was having a really rough day which made me very worried about how it would go. Although he was not very happy, Julia was able to capture some wonderful photos. At one point I was practically throwing Jack at Leo to get him to smile. Hey - whatever works. Jack pretty much hates me now though.

Here are a couple of preview pictures she had posted to her blog. I can't wait to see the rest.

Beans!

Looks like Leo inherited his dad's affinity for beans.

P.S. Leo does wear clothes on occasion.

Don't worry Leo...

mom doesn't know what to do with most of the appliances in the kitchen either.

Almost one year old - get to work kid

I'm really glad that Leo spends Friday with my parents - not only is he learning how to read construction plans but he's starting to do manual labor as well.

I think this will work better when he can stand up on his own.

Trying to hide from grandpa?
