Ghetto Child Leash

This is how you keep your kid nearby at the airport. Strap the
pacifier to your bag and they won't stray far.

How to keep busy on a rainy day in an apartment building?

Let your toddler eat string cheese while running around a parking garage.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Leo loved having so much family all in one place. He had such a great day. His favorite food - pumpkin pie, of course! We won't discuss the fact that he spit out my broccoli casserole. For a brief moment I thought my baby must have been switched at birth.

Forming opinions

Leo will now tell you if he does or does not want to do something, eat something or go somewhere. Every night since he was born he gets a bath which he enjoys. However, just recently when we ask him if he is ready for bath time, he will now let us know that he is not. It is just so funny how matter of fact he is about the whole thing. Sorry about the video quality but I know how much you all (Carson) like videos.

Travel Town at Griffith Park

Today we took Leo to Travel Town. He absolutely loves trains. Thank goodness since we will have one in the back yard of the new house we are building!

A day to remember

Today was a very important day in history.  The first presidential election since your birth. Barack Obama became the 44th President of the United States and its first African-American leader.

What skunk costume?

Riding the zebra

Sharing some goldfish crackers

Dancing

Reading a book

Waiting patiently (yeah right) to play outside

Halloween Party

Leo celebrated Halloween with his best buddies today. Unfortunately it is not so easy to get a picture of five toddlers together at once! You will notice a solo of Miss Megan since I unfortunately cut her off in my picture! And she was the hostess of our wonderful party. Oops.

Just another day at the pumpkin partch

Elmo addict

Every day Leo gets to watch 20 minutes of Elmo while I get ready in the morning. We have created a monster. At 6AM when he wakes up, he walks into the living room gets the remote and repeats "Elmo, Elmo, Elmo". This scene plays out about 5 times throughout the day when Leo discovers the remote in one of my many hiding places. If only it were so easy for Tom and I to track it down at the end of the day when we have forgotten where we put it.

Elmo also has a fish that he loves named Dorothy. Yesterday I told Leo to say hi to Dorothy (thinking he would wave at the tv). Much to my surprise he strung his first two words together as "Hi Dorady" came out of his mouth. Nope...he doesn't say "hi mama" or "bye dada" but he does talk to a make believe fish on the tv. It is one of the cutest things he has said and I wanted to be sure and capture the memory on the blog. At least before we stage an Elmo intervention. This will closely follow his visit to the Betty Ford clinic to kick his pacifier habit.
